TAGUSVALLEY is a Science and Technology Park in the form of a non-profit association, founded in 2004. It distributes its activity across 4 action units, aimed at the Production of Technological Knowledge Transfer in the Food Sector, Production of Knowledge Transfer in Technologies and Industrial Processes, in Business Reception and Entrepreneurship and in the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Skills. INOV.LINEA as a Technology Transfer and Valorisation Center for the Food Sector, has been carrying out its activity since 2010 in the development of applied research projects and the provision of services to companies in the food sector, through the preparation of studies and projects to create new products or improving existing products and processes. This unit develops work on topics related to food products (development of new products, production processes and food preservation processes) through the design and development of prototypes, preparation of pilot-scale trials, technological assistance, validation, development of knowledge and application of emerging food preservation technologies, namely ohmic heating, pulsed electric fields, high-pressure processing, ultraviolet, ultrasound, etc. It is possible at TAGUSVALLEY to implement a business idea, from its conception, constitution of the company, organisation of marketing and development of the business model and also the installation and development of the activity linked to the agri-food sector using INOV.LINEA equipment, consultancy from the technical team and incubation in accelerators in the science park and technology.

The INOV.LINEA team is a multidisciplinary team that combines knowledge in engineering, biotechnology, biology, nutrition, food engineering, and other transversal skills that are essential for the development of innovative products and/or the introduction into the market of products aligned with market trends and/or informed consumer decisions.
