Salus Optima is a UK based, B2B data capture (digital companions) and insight (enterprise grade AI) company with a focus on health, wellness with food being a critical component of the solution. From a data capture perspective Salus Optima develops digital companion applications for global food and consumer health brands that their consumer base accesses via their mobile phones/wearables/desktops. Areas the company have worked in include metabolic health, pre/post natal, healthy ageing and gut health – all of which would align with the EIT Food healthy lives through food mission.

These companions help consumers achieve their health goals through personalised recommendations (food/sleep/activity), behaviour change (habits and nudge), real and AI coaching. They are an additive to a brands physical product to help drive consumer adoption, compliance, brand loyalty as well as acquire new, rich 1st party data. All recommendations are science backed and Salus invests in its own foundational research with
their technology being used in the UK's largest clinical trial in gestational diabetes due to start with the NHS in Q3 2024.
