Introduction to regenerative agriculture / Εισαγωγή στην αναγεννητική γεωργία

During the training session participants will learn on regenerative agriculture principles and concept, how it increases biodiversity, enriches soils, improves watersheds, and enhances ecosystem services, passing from theory to practice,  underpinning a healthy agro-ecosystem.

The target audience for the proposed workshop comprises existing farmers seeking a transition to regenerative agri-cultural practices and young farmers initiating new farming ventures.

1. Day:
• The importance of healthy soil and basic principles of regenerative agricultura;
•  Screening of the “Kiss the Ground” Documentary
2. Day: Practical training at regenerative farm
• Soil’s Functions and How to Keep It Healthy
• Pruning, Composting, Planting Techniques, and Cover Crops
• Implementing Crop Rotation
• Effective Grazing Practices
