EIT Food South Collaborates with the Juan Ramón Guillén Foundation Awards for the olive sector

This year marks the 4th edition of the awards, which aim to celebrate and support progress and innovation within the Spanish olive sector. The awards are designed to showcase and bring attention to projects and initiatives that enhance and advance this important sector, which is crucial to both Spain’s economy, particularly in Andalusia, and at the European level.

Begoña Pérez Villarreal, Director of EIT Food for Southern Europe, will join the panel of judges responsible for assessing and selecting the award-winning projects.

The awards feature a range of categories, both at the national level within Spain and at the European level.

National Categories (Spain):

• Young Producer Award – Prize of €4,000.
• Olive Sector Innovation Award – Prize of €4,000.
• Career Achievement – Special mention.

European Category:

• Award for New Business Ideas Transforming the Olive Value Chain – Prize of €4,000.
