EIT Food Accelerator Network

EIT Food Accelerator Network

The EIT Food Accelerator Network (FAN) is an accelerator programme delivered across Europe, supporting high impact agrifood startups to maximise their success.

Once you have applied for FAN, you will go through a rigorous selection process where you will be judged by a series of experts including successful entrepreneurs, investors and experts from the agriculture and food industries.

If successful, you will be invited to join an accelerator programme at your preferred location, either in Germany (Munich), Israel (Haifa), Spain (Bilbao), Switzerland (Lausanne) or the UK (Cambridge). Over a four-month acceleration period, you will have access to a buffet of tools, connections, mentors and expertise to help you to succeed. At the end of the accelerator, there will be a final round of judging and the three best startups from all locations will be awarded attractive financial prizes.

Who are we looking for?

EIT FAN accepts applications from early-stage agrifood startups. This means your startup is a registered company, raised less than €500k in equity-based funding, generated less than €1M in revenue in the last 12 months, and have/are developing products or services that are set to make a big impact on any part of the agriculture or food supply chain.

There will be an opportunity on the application form for you to provide more information about your current funding amounts.

Just applying to the accelerator programme can be a valuable experience:

  • Every single startup that applies to EIT FAN receives comprehensive feedback on their application from a panel of expert judges from the startup community and the agriculture and food industries.
  • All semi-finalists receive extended feedback from expert judges on their in-person pitches.
