Ten Ukrainian Women Join EWA 2025 to Transform the Future of the Agrifood Sector
Launched by EIT Food and implemented in Ukraine by Radar Tech, the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme has officially begun its 2025 edition. Out of a record 203 applications, ten exceptional women entrepreneurs were selected to join a six-month journey of mentorship, training, and funding—driving innovation and growth in the country’s agrifood sector.
On June 20, 2025, the EWA Matchmaking event was held at America House in Kyiv, bringing together the ten selected women entrepreneurs, their mentors, and key stakeholders of the agrifood ecosystem in Ukraine. The high level of interest reflects the resilience and rising potential of Ukraine’s agrifood ecosystem, highlighting the growing influence of women entrepreneurs in shaping the sector’s future.
The EWA 2025 programme started with the Matchmaking event, where participants learned about the structure of the programme, key milestones, and the opportunities awaiting them. The first training focused on setting clear, measurable goals using the SMART methodology — an essential foundation for growing any business.
During the Matchmaking & Networking event, the participants had a tour of UNIT.City, one of Eastern Europe's largest innovation parks. Afterwards, they gathered at America House Kyiv, where they took part in a workshop on intellectual property rights in Ukraine and met the mentors who will guide them throughout the programme.
