Scientific Research Centre Bistra Ptuj

ZRS Bistra Ptuj is a leading public research and development institution in Slovenia, established to foster sustainable regional development by bridging the gap between academia and industry. Our primary focus is on promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and sustainable practices in the areas of agriculture, food production, and tourism. We provide comprehensive support to local enterprises, from business counselling to
project management, focusing on integrating advanced technological solutions into their operations.
Our research activities concentrate on sustainable agriculture, circular economy principles, reducing food waste, and developing innovative technologies for food production. We are involved in various national and international projects across Europe, particularly in Slovenia and neighbouring countries, aimed at promoting regional development and enhancing the sustainability of food systems. Our services also include educational programs, project coordination, and facilitating access to funding opportunities for SMEs and other stakeholders within the region.
