Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics (IAFE-NRI)
The most important relevant scientific activities of IERiGZ-PIB in recent years are as follows:
- elaboration of theoretical framework of the restructuring agriculture and food sector under system transformation and accession to the EU
- analysis of development processes of rural areas with respect to growing interest for public good production
- evaluation of socio-economic functions of villages and the role of institutions in rural development
- evaluation of structural funds effectiveness and efficiency at county and regional level
- evaluation of direct payments efficiency.
The research results in peer-reviewed scientific publications that are published in various scientific journals, including the scientific journal published at the Institute. The Institute also conducts expert activities for the public, private and non-governmental sectors. The Institute also provides data from farms to Eurostat via the Polish FADN.
