Barleti Group is an education and innovation consortium headquartered in Albania, offering a wide range of products and services in the field of higher education, professional development and scientific research. Including Barleti University, Barleti Institute for Research and Development, and other supporting structures, Barleti Group aims to create opportunities for personal and professional development, as well as promote innovation in the region.

Barleti Group provides educational services focused on training for sustainable development, tourism, agriculture and food and entrepreneurship, supporting especially new and small enterprises with incubation and accelerator programs. Through Barleti University, the group offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in fields such as business, technology, tourism, management, technology, medicine, etc., which are tailored to help students develop the skills required in the current market.

Scientific research at Barleti Group focuses mainly on sustainable development, advanced technologies and innovation in the food and agriculture sector, with a special emphasis on finding solutions for improving the food value chain and addressing sustainability challenges in the region. We are involved in national and international research projects, which aim to help solve global challenges through the application of local and regional methods.

Barleti Group is active in Albania and has collaborations with partners in the Balkan region and beyond, including European Union countries, creating a wide network of international collaboration for education and capacity development. The group aims to be a
key point for innovation in the sectors where it is active and to contribute to the economic and social development of local and regional communities.

Barleti Group is organised in five main divisions:

  • Barleti Education – This division offers higher education and professional training with the aim of empowering human capital through quality academic and applied programs.
  • Barleti Innovation – Focused on scientific research and innovation, it develops creative enterprises and research centres in various fields, creating Technology Parks and Innovation Centres.
  • Barleti Nonprofit – This division supports civil society and develops non-profit projects, cooperating with local and international entities.
  • Barleti Consulting – Provides consulting for businesses and organisations, helping to achieve measurable results and improve living standards.
  • Barleti Investment – Focuses on investments in the real economy, through the creation of startups and innovative enterprises.

The Quintuple Helix model, involving collaboration between Academia, Industry, Government, Citizens and Environment, is the foundation of UniBa's research strategy, helping to integrate innovative solutions in all aspects of academic and community development. The university, through the "Open Innovation" platform, aims to become a center where academia and industry collaborate to address the challenges of the labor market and society in general.
