Measuring and influencing policy acceptance
October 16 | h.15:20 -16:00
For policies to be effective in changing behavior, a certain level of acceptance by those affected is essential. So policymakers need to understand how citizens feel about new policies and to what extend they accept them. Learning the reasons behind why a policy is (not) accepted is fundamental for effective policymaking and communication.
But how? Drawing on decades of research experience in the commercial world and based on a solid scientific framework, EIT Food's Consumer Observatory is developing a Policy Acceptance Measurement tool. During this session the Consumer Observatory will present the findings of a recent pilot study on a meat advertisement ban. They will also unveil the plan for the development a universal policy acceptance measurement tool.
You can attend this session at the Fair and Resilient Food System track.
