23-24 June 2026, Brussels Next Bite Satellite 2026 - Biotech

Next Bite Satellite Brussels brought together Europe’s agrifood community to explore how biotechnology can move from scientific excellence to real-world impact and scale.

Europe at a turning point for agrifood biotech

On 23-24 June 2026, more than 160 leaders from across industry, startups, investors, research and policy gathered in Brussels for Next Bite Satellite Brussels to explore one of Europe's biggest opportunities: how to translate world-class biotechnology research into globally competitive businesses.

Across two days of keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking, participants examined what Europe needs to move beyond scientific excellence and become a leader in scaling agrifood biotech.

Why Europe needs the EU Agri-food Biotech Alliance now

A recurring theme throughout the event was the need to move from fragmented initiatives towards coordinated European action.

The EU Agri-Food Biotech Alliance is EIT Food's response to exactly that: a platform to align stakeholders, reduce fragmentation and turn Europe's scientific strengths into leadership.
