Leartiker
Leartiker is a Technology Centre specialised in Food Technology. It adds value by transferring technologies from its R&D+i activities to the business sector. Leartiker’s team work from the idea to the market, developing new healthy and sustainable products with added value from local raw materials of vegetable or animal origin.
Its main research focuses on three main areas:
- New products; diversification through the valorisation of local raw material including ideation of new products, product definition and design, development of product and process;
- Alternative protein sources, application of new protein sources in food products, identification of new sustainable protein sources; incorporation of proteins in food products, healthy properties study, and
- Fermented foods, including processes for new products, food fermentation studies, research on healthy compounds generated during fermentation and development and diversification of fermented products.
