Cacaolab was founded in 2012 as an R&D company and spin-off of Ghent University. The company strongly focuses on Innovation and Training from Bean to Praline by translating fundamental science into practical solutions and applications for third parties all over the world.

Cacaolab provides support to a diverse range of companies, ranging from SMEs to multinationals, in the cocoa and chocolate manufacturing and processing industry, as well as to B2B ingredient and processing equipment manufacturers.

Cacaolab's small-scale experimental production facility is a cornerstone of its innovative approach, equipped to produce chocolate and a wide variety of confectionery products. This facility allows us to conduct detailed research and development while creating prototype products and finetuning production processes.
