Accelerating Win-Win Solutions for Animal and Human Health and the Climate
We are building a collective to demonstrate and accelerate animal health interventions as part of the climate solution, continuing to familiarize the climate dialogue with animal health and “fugitive emissions”.
We will show how animal health is connected to climate, and how countries can incorporate interventions to fulfill on their climate plans and policies for wins in the near term.
We plan to build a campaign around this message at COP, and have it raised in multiple venues including via a formal side event, as part of a dialogue with those working on alternative proteins, and as part of a US-UAE AIM4C Innovation Sprint.
We will invite partners to broaden the conversation to include a look at investment needed in the overall livestock space for concrete ag-climate wins.
Co-organised by the Environmental Defense Fund, International Livestock Research Institute, and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition

Investing in Biodiversity to Improve Nutrition and Climate Outcomes
This panel will bring together stakeholders from the nutrition, agricultural research, and anti-hunger advocacy sectors to discuss the importance of investing in and protecting biodiversity to achieve the global goal to end hunger in alignment with driving climate action.
They will share from a diverse range of sectors about the importance of centering biodiversity for resilient food systems. Speakers will reflect and share about how projects and policy initiatives that center biodiversity contribute to climate resilience and food system transformation.

Trust circle: building a bridge between inner and outer transformation
Addressing the climate crisis and regenerating the Earth requires a conscious shift in individual and collective mindsets alongside the required shifts in food systems for climate, people and nature; it entails a societal shift touching on ethics, inner and outer transformations, emotions and our notions of success and progress. To enact this transition, we must build a bridge between the external and internal transformation required.
Come together for a deep dialogue alongside other climate practitioners, facilitated by climate leader Elise Buckle. This event is being planned in partnership with Listening Inspires co-founder Charlotte Dufour. Create space for deep connection, exploring the grief and opportunity that comes with working in climate and leave feeling deeply aware and regenerated.
This session is co-organised by Climate Bridges, CoFSA and Listening Inspire

Pathways to decarbonising health systems and promoting healthy climate action
Global health systems account for 4.4% of global greenhouse gas emissions. As part of the
World Health Organisation (WHO) Alliance for Transformative Action for Climate and Health (ATACH) initiative, 75 countries have made low-carbon health system commitments. This session will showcase inspiring examples of hospitals transforming into beacons of global and planetary health. Join us to learn from global leaders and explore innovative solutions to decarbonize healthcare and promote healthy climate action.

Context matters: Gathering Diverse Global Perspectives on Low-Methane Food Systems Solutions
(Invite only)
EDF, FSF, and ILRI are convening a private, interactive dialogue at COP29 meant to build common ground, advocacy efforts, and diverse solution sets to realize the value of greater collective action.
Discussions will focus on potential pathways to be pursued to reduce livestock’s overall impact on the environment while acknowledging its critical societal role - and acknowledging that pathways for change will look different based on context and region.
Our goal is to generate consensus and build a diverse coalition across the ruminant meat and complementary protein value chains to align on common policy levers and solution sets that deliver for people, planet, and shared prosperity.
