Public engagement

We believe that we are all responsible for, and connected to, the food that we eat, so we all need to work together to improve it. Our activities are designed to engage with people so that they can become agents of change in the food system.

At EIT Food, we are building an inclusive and innovative community where you can be actively involved. Together we can deliver an innovative agrifood sector that produces both healthy and sustainable food and is trusted by society.

Research has shown that consumers do not understand or trust in the food industry. This is thought to be driven by the gap between what consumers want and what the food industry provides.

The Future of Food Conference is a high-level forum, providing a platform for all the stakeholders of the food system to discuss the most pressing challenges and solutions in the EU’s agrifood sector and co-create innovative solutions.
