Building entrepreneurial capacity for women from rural areas in agrifood business

Building entrepreneurial capacity for women from rural areas in agrifood business

Enabling female entrepreneurs to build successful, sustainable agrifood businesses

This programme aims to encourage enterprise development amongst female entrepreneurs in Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) countries.

The programme will support up to 80 women entrepreneurs across RIS countries to develop the knowledge, confidence, support and networking opportunities they need to meet and exceed their aspirations. Ultimately this will enable them to build successful, sustainable agrifood businesses.

Over a period of 6 months, we will support early-stage female entrepreneurs to grow and develop their businesses using a tailored, focused approach that specifically takes into account the concrete challenges which female entrepreneurs face as well as the barriers which can limit their entrepreneurial activity.

The programme will involve business training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. It will also provide a platform for creating a community of entrepreneurial driven women in agrifood.

CLC NE and CLC South will implement the programme in each EIT RIS target country in collaboration with local organisations which specialise in boosting female entrepreneurship.
