About the Regenerative Agriculture Revolution

As part of its mission to make food systems more sustainable and healthy, EIT Food has created the Regenerative Agriculture Programme, whose objective is to help farmers in Southern Europe learn about and transition to more regenerative methods of agriculture.

About the Call

The Regenerative Agriculture Manual should fulfill two complementary objectives:

  • provide farmers with a theoretical understanding of the principles of regenerative farming, and
  • serve as a comprehensive and practical handbook for farmers to refer to as they transition from conventional to regenerative farming.

The Manual will be a key component of the farmer to farmer teaching that we will organize to offer farmers the opportunity to learn from others who have successfully transitioned to regenerative agriculture. We will also print it in booklet form and publish it on our website to make it widely available to anyone who wants to learn more about the theory and practice of regenerative agriculture. The idea is that the Manual will evolve over time as we gather experience from transitioning farms and adapt our methodology to the needs of programme participants through an iterative process.

To demonstrate best value for money, interested parties are invited to submit a proposal for the project detailing the information below. Proposals can be written in English or Spanish and sent to Philip Fernandez at philip.fernandez@eitfood.eu by 7 July 2020. The successful candidate will be notified on 14 July 2020.

  • Their background and suitability for the project
  • A proposed outline for the guidebook, providing information on the content and tone of voice
  • A proposed design for the booklet
  • Examples of relevant work
  • A budget breakdown

EIT Food will assess all the proposals and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
