Call for Entrepreneurs in Residence for SEEDBED (Incubator) and FAN (Accelerator)
EIT Food supports agri-food tech startups that are developing solutions to address challenges in these key areas: Alternative Proteins, Sustainable Agriculture, Targeted Nutrition, Sustainable Aquaculture Digitalized Traceability and Circular Food Systems.
EIT Food runs two flagship programmes: An Incubator programme, Seedbed and the Accelerator Network Programme. Both are hosted and run by the Spanish hub in Bilbao.
The Seedbed programme is a six-month programme during which the startups are given the training and support to do their customer validation journey. Every year up to 8 startups are selected to participate in the Incubator. The programme runs from June to November.
The Food Accelerator Network (FAN) is a 4-month business accelerator. The accelerator programme runs from July to October. 10 startups selected to participate in the programme after a vigorous online selection process.
In both programmes, we hold events and trainings to equip the startups with the skills and contacts they need. The workshops and events are not typical ‘business trainings’ but rather an opportunity to build meaningful learning experiences and a community that makes a real impact on the food system. Both programmes will be held in a hybrid format.
Entrepreneurs in residence are key for us, they help startups to stay focused on their milestones, bring hands-on experience in building and growing startups and bring them solutions to unlock strategic questions along the entrepreneurial journey.
