This session will focus on innovative methods and metrics to evaluate the impact of regenerative agritculture practices. Join us to discuss how regenerative agriculture can transform farming by boosting resilience, enhancing biodiversity, and reducing reliance on chemical inputs.
We will discuss how regenerative agriculture can transform farming by increasing resilience, enhancing biodiversity, and reducing dependence on chemical inputs. We will also highlight successful case studies from the farming community, emphasising living labs and lighthouse farms, in connection with the EIT Food Regenerative Agriculture Project. We will also spotlight the Impact Funding project Tech4RegenAg and the results obtained so far.
Format
Keynote Speaker: Stephan van Vliet - Building scalable protocols for more nutrient dense agrifoods
Set the scene for the session and give an overview of the topic, emphasising the urgency of regenerative agriculture practices. The speaker will also provide an overview of the enabling technologies and available solutions for measuring the impact of RegenAg.Â
Margarida Palma will present the Tech4RegenAg and insights from EU farms.
Roundtable Discussion: 25 min. for the roundtable discussion with 3-4 farmers. Each farmer will provide a brief context of their farm, followed by a roundtable discussion, moderated by Gonçalo Amorim (BGI CEO) on the topic.
