Benedicte O'Sullivan: Fyteko

Benedicte O’Sullivan is the COO of Fyteko. Based in Belgium, Fyteko aims to help the world’s farmers transition towards safer, more sustainable and climate-smart practices. Fyteko has created a portfolio of biomolecule-based products that support farmers to maintain and safeguard crop yields in changing climates and environments. This includes biostimulants, herbicide bioenhancers and biocontrol products that ‘prime’ plants to be ready to deal with extreme weather changes such as temperature, heat waves and drought.

Applied as either a foliar spray or a seed treatment, the biomolecule can be used at scale across a range of crops and functions, with an average yield increase of 14%.
