EIT Food launches the #Farm-to-table Challenge

Are you interested in joining a diverse team of innovators looking to transform the food system over a weekend?

From November 15th to 17th 2019, the Impact Hub Sicily will host the EIT Food Challenge Lab, whose primary goal is to involve all the actors of the supply chain "from the farm to the table", including consumers, in the transformation of the agrifood system in order to implement sustainable production, improve nutrition and make the food system more efficient, safer, transparent and reliable while respecting the needs of the soil and the territory.

Questions to be studied:

  1. How can we help Sicilian farmers increase soil health to protect them from decreased yields, climate change, water scarcity and growing regulation of chemical fertilizers?
  2. How can we help Sicilian farmers increase their incomes by strengthening relations between different producers and between producers and consumers?
