At the end of this course you will be able to articulate what your set of innovation and entrepreneurship skills are and explore new career opportunities.

  3. Articulate a food system problem that can be addressed by a sustainable solution
  4. Evaluate a target market in order to assess the potential for a product innovation

  6. Implement actions to initiate the deliverance of an innovative solution

Our 4 informative modules will guide you through the journey of developing a new venture: from identifying the problem you want to solve to funding your start up.

The course is designed to be flexible to your needs; you can join the course with a problem or solution already in mind, or be inspired by the Food System challenges in the 6 Focus Areas of EIT Food to use when working through the material.

Take the course at your pace, fitting around your current commitments, but hurry! This course is only available up to the 31st December 2022 for you to earn your certificate!

Career Opportunities

Participants will receive an EIT Food certificate at the end of this course. They will be introduced to the basics of entrepreneurship which can be used to build a solid foundation in developing the skills they will need to support their entrepreneurial journey.

Structure & Modules

This FREE bite-size introductory course has been developed by the University of Cambridge, alongside EIT Food, Aarhus University, Lund University and Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. It takes approximately 4 hours to complete and you will be awarded with a Certificate upon completing the course. You can also take the course at your own pace, fitting it around your current commitments. You will be taken sequentially through the basics of entrepreneurship, following these key topics:

  • Problem Definition
  • Customer value proposition
  • Market Scoping
  • Funding your Start Up

Upon completion, you will have received a short but highly impactful introduction to entrepreneurship which can form a solid basis for future study in this area or even equip you with the essentials to start your own venture!
