CovidX aspires to bring a food supplement based on a novel Spirulina-extract to market. 

Aqueous Spirulina extract is already approved for use in food in the US and EU with no toxicity limitations or known allergens. It also has unique advantages, including bio-security, consistent quality and taste, odour-free and high in bioactive compounds. Once the extract's anti-COVID-19 viral activity is scientifically proven, this project will bring the food supplement to market. The aim is to provide a natural shield to high-risk population groups such as the elderly and people with severe underlying medical conditions, as well as high-exposure groups e.g. medical personnel.
