Retail plays a pivotal role at the center of the food system, shaping supply chains in line with consumer demand, and driving sustainability outcomes. With new EU regulations like the CSRD increasing the focus on Scope 3 emissions, change is already underway across the value chain. All actors, from large retailers to local producers and innovators, have a role to play. This session brings together two distinct but complementary voices: EuroCommerce, driving positive transformation across Europe’s retail and wholesale sector, and Ooooby, a digital platform enabling small-scale, regenerative producers to sell directly to consumers through local, tech-enabled infrastructure offering valuable data-driven insights for more sustainable and transparent food systems. Together, we will explore how policy, innovation, and collaboration can support a more regenerative, resilient, and inclusive food system.
