Cities of the future: co-creating urban spaces where food innovation thrives and leads to community, city and food industry regeneration

// // Global stage sessions

Over 4 billion people - more than half of the world’s population – currently live in cities, and this is set to increase dramatically over the next few decades. As centres of economic growth and development cities hold the potential to be engines of transformation using co-creative mechanisms to catalyse systemic change.

Using examples from across Europe and Japan we will explore community-centric incubators, living labs and initiatives which empower civil society to create awareness and dialogue and provide inclusive training, employment, and startup development in the food industry, leading to food resilience, social justice, and circularity.
