Host:  Compassion in World Farming

As part of CIWF’s activities at COP30, Farmers on the Frontline is a visual and narrative
exhibition exploring the intersection of industrial animal agriculture, climate breakdown, and resilience in Brazil. Hosted at the meeting area of the Action Food Hub, the exhibition brings together striking satellite imagery and powerful portraits of farmers from Rio Grande do Sul, each accompanied by their stories of loss and a dedicated section highlighting pathways and policy recommendations for building more resilient food systems.

Through an immersive visual journey, visitors will gain both a bird’s-eye and ground-level understanding of how the expansion of industrial livestock farming—particularly pig and poultry production—has reshaped Brazil’s landscapes and affected rural livelihoods. The exhibition reveals how farmers are facing the devastating consequences of climate change driven by this growth, while also highlighting the opportunities to build a more resilient and humane future. Open for all.
