Methane is the fastest lever for near-term climate gains. This session spotlights proven interventions in livestock and rice-plus measurement (MRV), buyers’ procurement signals, and enabling policy-to move from fragmented pilots to multi-country scale.
Objectives:
(1) Address what actually works to cut methane in cattle and rice (feed & herd strategies, manure management, rice water regimes) while protecting livelihoods;
(2) Demystify MRV options (direct measurement, proxies) and align with finance and disclosure;
(3) Surface demand signals (public/private, blended finance) that unlock adoption.
