The Global Mutirão for Resilience: How family farmers lead global efforts on climate adaptation

// // Roundtable

Hosts: World Rural Forum (WRF) in partnership with its member organisations the African Women’s Network for Community Forests Management (REFACOF), Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF) and Programa Diálogo Regional Rural - Central America (PDRR)

An interactive panel showcasing family farming as a strategic climate solution. Through family farmer voices, policy analysis, and project innovations, participants will explore how to scale up family farming's proven adaptation practices, including through an inclusive agreement on the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) and the Just Transition Work Programme (JTWP) and enhanced climate finance access. The session embodies COP30's mutirão spirit by demonstrating collective climate action from grassroots to global levels. The session builds on the conclusions of the Family Farming Pre-COP30 held in Brasilia in June, organised by the World Rural Forum.
