Intensive animal agriculture and fisheries systems pose several risks to planetary and human health and require urgent reform. At the centre of this transformation are the farmers and rural communities, whose livelihoods depend on food production. This roundtable, co-hosted by the Jeremy Coller Foundation & World Animal Protection, invites stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue focused on the just transition in agriculture and fisheries, namely, to include food and agriculture in discussions in the potential Just Transition Mechanism and to explore how agricultural subsidies could bey reformed and repurposed to support equitable. humane and sustainable food production. The roundtable will be open to government bodies, multilateral institutions, development banks and NGOs.
