Hosts: YOUNGO Food and Agriculture
The moment leading up to the conclusion of the SSJWA is a rare opportunity to influence the direction of agriculture negotiations in a constructive and forward-looking way. For this to be meaningful:
- There is a need for a space to exchange informal reflections.
- Diverse perspectives within blocs should be surfaced
- Future work under the UNFCCC should be inclusive, practical, and grounded in realities on the ground, this makes right-holder representatives imperative in this conversation Informal trust and connections between negotiators and stakeholders can lay the foundation for smoother and more constructive formal negotiations.
This roundtable aims to bridge these gaps by creating a collaborative, comfortable & inclusive dialogue space during COP30.
