Hosts: Compassion in World Farming
This session will open with key findings from the recently launched Climate Doom Loop, which documents how extreme weather events are increasingly disrupting lives and livelihoods of farmers around the world, while also threatening food and nutrition security.
The discussion will aim to identify key pathways and solutions to strengthen resilience — from policy action to community-driven solutions — aiming to inspire cross-sector collaboration and practical steps toward more climate-resilient food systems. These solutions will aim to benefit small-scale farmers that are already threatened by extreme weather events and are disproportionately affected while contributing minimally to global emissions.
This session connects evidence with lived realities, sparking a dialogue on how to better support farmers on the frontline of climate change.
